Educational project „Scientific Platerka” – realized by scientific group LEOO
The project is for secondary school students from Biała Podlaska town.
The aim of the project is to support students in their scientific development by attending different conferences, workshops, lectures and meetings with experts in various scientific fields.
It is a project that allows young people to participate in the scientific process through lectures, practical research tasks in various areas of science, such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, Information technology and also social sciences and humanities.
Our activities:
The LEOO science club organizes regular different meetings, during which students can take part in lectures and discussions on topics related to science, in its broad sense and their future education. Scientific trips and competitions are also frequently organized there!
Our goals:
- Education and development – development of research skills, critical thinking and analysis.
- Collaboration – teamwork, which develops communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Experimental – conducting research and experiments that allow us gaining practical knowledge and skills.
- Results presentation – preparing the results of research work in the presentations, reports or posters, which allows for a better presentation of the results of our work.

This type of project allows secondary school students not only to explore scientific knowledge, but also to develop skills that will be useful in further academic education as well as in their probable future careers!
The project is carried out at the E. Plater Secondary School No. 2 in Biała Podlaska in cooperation with CBK PAN in Warsaw and UM Biała Podlaska.
